Reportage News: In the face of natural disasters, to sketch or not to sketch?

Back in December, Mario Alvarez recorded the destruction from unprecedented deadly flooding in Valencia, Spain. “These drawings were not easy to make, but I think we should document what happens. In the newspapers there are pages with happy news and sad news. Our sketchbooks are similar,” Alvarez says.
