London Greens

Sketches from small journeys in London during 2020 and 2021.

Artist and urban sketcher Lis Watkins firstly drew plants in her back garden in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. Then, as the restrictions eased, she hesitantly moved to local parks and gardens. As rules changed again, she took her sketchbook slightly further afield to places in South East London.

First published in Autumn 2022, “London Greens” was nominated for the ‘Prix du Carnet de Voyage International’ at the ‘Rendez-vous du Carnet de Voyage’ in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
