Days in Japan, sketch by sketch

Belgium-born architect and urban sketcher Arnaud De Meyer shares in this book the sketches he made during his travels in Japan, mainly around Osaka and Kyoto, while working on the Luxembourg pavilion at the Osaka world expo 2025.

Drawn directly in felt-tip pen, just black on white, or sometimes watercolored, the sketches present the places and buildings in his characteristic style, which could be taken from comic strip settings.

The A5 landscape format of the book corresponds to the size of the original notebooks used by the author. The sketches are therefore presented at their actual size.
