Artist Talk: Gabi Campanario in conversation with James Hobbs

Gabi Campanario, Urban Sketchers founder and publisher at Sketcher Press, joins the London artist and author James Hobbs in conversation about James’s new book Sketchbook Reveal at the Topolski Studio on London’s South Bank on Saturday 4 October 11am to noon.

Topolski Studio can host about 40 people comfortably for a talk, with 30 seated. Due to this space limitation, we kindly ask that you get a free RSVP ticket to reserve a spot for this Artist Talk.

About Sketchbook Reveal: After filling 206 volumes over the course of his adulthood, London artist and author James Hobbs reveals every single page from seven beloved sketchbooks in this one-of-a-kind art book. Sketchbook Reveal gives readers the opportunity to peek into Hobbs’s unique visual diaries and be inspired by his lifelong sketchbook habit.

The Topolski Studio is at Arch 158, Hungerford Arches, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XU. Entrance is via the London Eye side of Hungerford Arches accessed by Belvedere Road. Nearby tube stations are Waterloo and Embankment.

Following the Artist Talk, the event continues with a popup shop of publications by Sketcher Press from 12 noon to 4pm. It’s a chance to meet Gabi during his brief visit to London, to buy a copy of Sketchbook Reveal signed by James, and to draw with London’s Urban Sketchers along the South Bank. No RSVP is required for those joining the event after the Artist Talk.
